PSYNAPSIS is an association that actively advocates for the promotion of mental and physical health. PSYNAPSIS was founded by three psychologists who work to realize the goals of the association through activities such as: affordable psychological counseling and psychotherapy, psychological workshops and psychological testing. The heterogeneity of our team allows you to choose exactly the service you need, trying to make it accessible to every age group. Meet the founders of PSYNAPSIS:

Jasmina Jonuz

Jasmina Jonuz is a licensed psychologist, magister in counseling psychology, cognitive behavioral and schema therapy counsellor. After graduating, she focused in the field of psychotherapy and obtained a master’s degree in counseling psychology at the University of Sheffield. She actively invested in her professional development with educations in the field of psychodiagnostics and psychotherapy, and she finished a training for neuropsychological assessment and training for Exposure and response prevention for treatment of OCD. In 2019 she begins her doctoral studies in the field of clinical psychology. A large part of her career was spent in the non-governmental sector with advisory work for marginalized groups in organizations such as HERA, HOPS and SOS Children’s Village and she is co-founder of Psynapsis – NGO for promotion of mental and physical health. Currently she is employed as a psychologist at public health clinic – (Zdravstven dom Skopje) and she is also working as a Lecturer at Sigmund Freud University – Vienna. Additionally, she offers online counselling and psychotherapy with focus in the treatment of anxiety disorders (phobias, panic disorder, OCD) and personality disorders.

Aleksandra Panchevska

Aleksandra Panchevska is a licensed psychologist, Gestalt therapist and EMDR Practitioner. She completed her undergraduate studies at the Institute of Psychology at the Faculty of Philosophy at UKIM. During her studies, she spent one semester as an exchange student at the Faculty of Psychology at the University of Bologna in Italy. During her education, she was involved in numerous trainings, lectures and seminars, as a participant and as a lecturer. Her work experience includes working as a psychologist – human resources consultant, psychosocial support of vulnerable categories of refugees, providing psychological support to oncology patients, psychological counseling and psychotherapy. Her professional work interests focus on personal growth and development, psychotherapy and working with trauma.

Irena Aleksova

Irena Aleksova has a degree in psychology from Cyril and Methodius University. After graduating from college, she began working with children and studying developmental psychology. She is currently under the supervision of a Gestalt Counselor and is also undergoing training in clinical diagnostics. She completed neuropsychological diagnostics at the Center for Neuropsychology, Psychotherapy and Psychology-Cognition. She constantly educates herself and attends seminars, trainings and courses to improve her experience. Works with vulnerable categories of persons – migrant children in the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy, Skopje. In the past, he worked as a psychologist in the non-governmental sector SOS children’s village and IOM-International Organization for Migration in Skopje. She has worked and volunteered ART therapy under supervision and volunteered with children with ADHD, autism and cerebral palsy in Association Lastovica. In the future, he wants to devote herself to diagnostics, research in psychology and holding trainings and courses.
